Paul Bennett
Paul Bennett is Director, Primary School Leadership at the National College for Leadership of Schools and Children’s Services. He is responsible for a broad range of activities relating to primary school leadership and led the College’s early work on local solutions to succession planning. He is currently a member of the team working on the redesign of the National Professional Qualification for Headship.
Prior to joining the National College in June 2003, Paul spent his teaching career in primary schools in Birmingham including two headships – one a Church of England Voluntary Aided primary school. He was later Senior Primary Inspector in Warwickshire.
Howard Worsley
Howard Worsley is a researcher, a teacher and a priest. Previously Director of Education in the London Anglican diocese and before that, DDE at the Diocese of Southwell and Nottingham, Howard is also a past Chair of the National Association of Anglican Directors of Education. He began his career as a secondary school teacher in Cairo and the UK, before being ordained and serving as a curate and vicar in Southwell and Nottingham.
It was during this time Howard first became involved with the local Diocesan Board for Education and also researched a doctorate investigating how children come to faith and what influence this has on their development across life. In 2000, Howard took up the position of Director of Studies at St John’s Theological College in Nottingham where he taught education, mission and ethics to people preparing for ministry in the Church of England.
Frank Keenan
Frank Keenan is currently Professional Officer to the Brentwood Diocese Secondary Heads' Association; Lead Diocese representative for the Eastern region National College/Dioceses Strategy 2010/11 and a Consultant to the National College for online course development in the Catholic units of the Head Start programme. Frank was formerly national adviser to the CES on Succession Planning and Leadership Development and Chair of the Nurturing Future Leaders committee of the CES.
Prior to this, Frank was Head of a Catholic secondary school (St Thomas More High School, Southend) and received an OBE in 2006 for services to education.
